Introduction
Bristol Airport is one of the fastest growing regional airports in the UK and one of the South West’s largest employers.
Significant route development growth over the past two years now means the airport serves over 100 direct destinations in 22 countries through scheduled and charter services and a further 450 via international connections.
With the largest network of low cost services outside of London, along with the only scheduled New York flight in the region, the enhanced choice of routes from Bristol International has contributed to a major increase in customers over the last five years.
The airport handled over 5 million passengers in 2005 and maintains a customer catchment area that spans across ten counties in the West of England and South Wales. A brand new terminal building was opened in 2000 with a further £14 million investment in the infrastructure completed in May 2005 providing an extension of the check-in facilities and baggage reclaim areas, alongside apron development.
In 2006 a £7m investment is underway to provide an enhanced retail and catering choice in the departure lounge due to open in the Spring. The considerable and rapid growth of Bristol International has led to the subsequent increase in demand for airport parking.
Edge Recruits has been Bristol Airport’s primary supplier of customer service, car parking and related staff for the last six years and we are now looking to recruit additional staff across a range of roles and positions for the peak season in order for Bristol Airport to maintain effective operation of the airport’s on-site car parks.
