Edge Recruits is reinventing the way recruitment agencies work in the UK in order to offer our clients and candidates a better experience overall. Whilst we do what a traditional high street employment agency does, how we do it is very different.
So you won't find us in the high street – but we do have a virtual presence everywhere. We do things differently to make job hunting less of a chore, and a much more positive experience. Instead of having branch offices in town and city centres the supply of our recruitment services right across the South West is coordinated and managed 24/7 from our dedicated Customer Service Centre in Totnes, South Devon.
We do also have a local presence in major towns and cities in the form of Business Managers who live and work locally to you providing a local point of contact for clients, candidates and temporary workers (see Feature Locations).
Critically, our unique approach enables us to better meet our client's requirements for staff – which means we have a very loyal and rapidly growing client base. For candidates, this means we are better placed to help you find the best jobs.

In addition, we have developed innovative new services and tools to help both employers and work seekers find the right jobs and the right people. JobBid is our online market place that connects people with jobs and employers with people 24/7. Its a bit like eBay, people sell their time, marketing their services as employees, stating the rates they want, in the places they want to work using the skills and experience they possess. Employers (or buyers) search for people with the skills and experience they need and when matches occur they can make sellers an offer by email and text which they can either accept or decline. The more of their time sellers sell and the better they perform, the quicker their grade improves on the system creating greater demand from buyers. At the end of a week the system generates an online timesheet which when authorised by the buyer generates a BACS payment to the seller from us and an invoice to the buyer. Its simple to use and can really help people find work whether they want just a few odd hours per week or to work fulltime. All sellers are fully vetted by us and their entitlement to work in the UK is checked too.
To further help people looking for work to access our services, promote themselves to employers and view videos of employer's promoting their vacancies we are positioning JobPods in key locations across the region, such as in universities, colleges and business centres. A retail version is being developed. These enable people to talk with us using a live video link and record their Video Profiles for placement on our website and on social networking sites like Facebook, BeBo and MySpace.
